Milestones 2002 ran from April 30th -May 17th in 2002. The report uses 70
indicators to measure progress toward 19 goals in areas such as education,
health, crime, government, economy, housing, and the environment.

comments received during the public policy discussion on the state budget
shortfall.

State Budget Shortfall: Online Discussion: From January 7 until January 18,
2002 the public offered suggestions, expressed opinions, and asked questions about
the budget shortfall, and its near and long-term effects. Administration
officials participated in the online discussion. A summary will be provided to
the Governor’s office, commissioners, legislators, and the public.

State energy policy discussion: Public comments regarding the
Draft State Energy Planning Report created by the Department of Commerce.
Featured participants included Department of Commerce Deputy Commissioner
Linda Taylor, Pollution Control Agency Deputy Commissioner Ann Seha and staff
from the Department of Commerce's Energy Division. The discussion took place
from November 7 to November 21, 2001.
